Residential duplexes across three sites 390 Johnson Street, 386 Johnson Street, and 40 Aberdeen Street.
Description of Proposal:
This application is for a residential development project spanning 390 Johnson Street, 386 Johnson Street, and 40 Aberdeen Street in Kingston. The 1,327 square meter site will host a six-story building in accordance with URM8 zoning guidelines.
The building will feature 45 units, totaling 120 bedrooms. A shared library amenity on the ground floor will enhance community engagement, while the design ensures integration with the existing neighborhood by tapering back at higher floors.
Additionally, a common rooftop area will provide outdoor space for residents. The project strikes a balance between expanding Kingston's housing options and respecting the city's architectural heritage. All proposals adhere to city, regional, and environmental guidelines.
