Description of Proposal:
The purpose of the OPA application is to expand the Cityโs urban boundary to include the subject lands, 3279 Creekford Road and 3403 Creekford Road. The proposed development consists of a residential subdivision containing a range of housing typologies. A total of 966 dwelling units are proposed, consisting of a mix of single-detached, semi-detached, townhouses, stacked townhouses, and back-to-back townhouses. The proposed development will have a net density of approximately 44.3 units per hectare. One (1) park and two (2) parkettes will be provided as public parkland space which will provide opportunities for recreation for future residents

The subject lands are designated Rural and Environmental Protection Area as per Schedule 3A of the City of Kingston Official Plan and are located outside the Cityโs urban boundary identified on Schedule 2. The subject application for Official Plan Amendment (OPA) is therefore required to bring the subject lands into the Cityโs urban boundary and to redesignate the lands from Rural to Residential.
